I moved this over to the Cyber Deals forum for you, since is definitely a good deal on a good waterblock. Deals such as this go in the Cyber Deals forum, please.

And yes, that is some good pricing and that is a damn good vendor to buy from too. One of my faviorite places to shop for cooling products.

EDIT: As far as your question goes, from what I've heard LGA2011 will use the same mounting pattern as LGA1366, so this should fit.

Is it missing something possibely like will i need to get a mounting kit for it. I will be installing on a lga 1156 i5 750, also as stated before will this block fit lga 2011 or do we not know.

I seem to remember when I bought my original model XT that it came with a 1366 bracket but with proof of purchase, Swiftech will send you an 1156 or 775 bracket for free. Of course they might ship them with an 1156 bracket nowadays. And the 1366 bracket should work just fine on 2011 according to what I've read. They didn't change the mount hole spacing up on the LGA2011 from the spacing on LGA1366. If you are in the market for a good waterblock at a very reasonable price, I would say go for it man. I've dealt with Jab-tech for several years now and John (the owner) is a real stand up guy.

this is what I have now - swiftech apogee GT

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835108093

but will be upgrading to a socket 1155 mobo/cpu. Will getting a new waterblock be necessary? I'm leaning towards yes...

and how much better is it than my old GT? I couldn't find too much info

Well, digging through swiftechs site, they claim the apogee gtx is 1c better @100w load than the gt, and they claim the gtz is about 3.5c better than the gtx at load on a q6600@3.6ghz, and that the XT is about 3c better than the gtz on a 920@4.0ghz. So while it isnt exact, expect the XT to perform about 7-10c better than the GT, which is a pretty huge gap in water block performance.

I'm really tempted to snag this. My waterblock is from the 775 era and not really meant for the 1366. It works, but I could probably get 4.4ghz daily out of this chip if I had another 10c of headroom.

Sadly, 1366 mounts will not work on 2011. There will either have to be new blocks or mounting kits made. I am holding a 2011 cooling solution in my hands as I write this, so you can trust me.
