Shipping a Motherboard

I plan on selling a motherboard on ebay without a processor in it. Therefore the slot will be empty and I do not have any kind of CPU shaped plastic cover. What would be the best way to effectively protect the socket?

Only thing I can think of atm is to tape a piece of small cardboard over the socket with the tape being attached to the mobo and the cardboard not touching the pins.

I have used both cardboard, or an index card to protect the socket

Thanks for your help. I needed some piece of mind in regards to using cardboard or an index card.

Cut out a square of egg crate, trim it to CPU height, stick a square of index card on top, put it in the socket, close the bracket, and put a piece of cardboard over the top.

If somebody stabs the box right where the socket is, nothing you can do is going to protect it. Just insure the package and don't worry about it.

Take some good photos before and after you cover the CPU socket.
