Coolermaster HAF (X vs. 932) & USB 3.0

Greetings gents.

Some may know im working on a build. I got convinced to look at the HAF 932 case over the Sniper, and decided for it due to larger size and looked a little more customizable. But ive also started glancing at the HALF X (942) case because it had USB 3.0 ports on the IO panel instead of separated in a 3.5 mount. But i discovered that those ports are NOT connected to a front panel header on the mobo, but instead are just USB extenders from the rear.

My two main questions are,

1. Does is the 942 a better overall case as far as features? (realistically i mean)
2. Is there a way to convert the front USB 3.0 ports to plug into the front panel header on a mother board?

Although i can not directly answer your question i have built pcs in many different cases and i have NEVER had such a pleasure as i did building in side of the HAF X. It is downright cavernous. I truly do love this case, and i really had reservations as to whether or not i would be happy. From what i read 942vs 932 is pretty much the X is a tad bit bigger, the rear panel cutouts have rubber grommets on them so they wont cut any wires, also it helps to black out the whole. Also the side window to the HAFX is superior IMO, but i will be upgrading to a HAF 932 Black Edition side panel once my watercooling parts come in, as i really dont have a need for the 230mm fan, and i rather have the full side window.

Ultimately the choice is yours, but im sure you will be happy with either case.

I am sure I have seen both "USB3 header to USB3 double plug adapter" and add on "USB3 5 1/4 with header plug".
Try searching for BitFenix, Biostar, Lian Li, and Silverstone for USB3 adapters. I am certain there are others.

Hey Doug Shell can you give me pictures when you get that side panel please? I have a HAF X and do not need that 200mm fan also and would much rather show off my rig but I'm not sold on that side panel you were talking about so I'd really like to see how it looks.

Regarding the USB 3.0 header dilemma, I saw this http://www.amazon.com/Lian-Li-UC-01-.../dp/B005AJX9MW Or this http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0371734

You'll have to look around and determine which is best.

Humm. Sad CM doesnt change it out as an update. I do like the Microcenter one better. It just looks better than the thrown together look of the other one. Plus its cheaper Thanks

Also, Dont need the extra fan? i thought there was never such thing as too many fans?

UPDATE!! THEY CHANGED IT!! WOOT

I just got my Haf X and they actually CHANGE the USB 3.0 connection to a standard Internal pin connection, and gave an extra Internal to External converter cable just in case! Awesome coolermaster.. just awesome I did purchase a ex-to-in cable just in case, it wasnt too much and im not mad im just glad to know i no longer need it

They didnt change the model of it tho, so if you order it and do not get this connector, know that they are making newer ones with the standard internal
