need s software suggestiion

hello, i need a suggestion of a good file synchronization software, that runs silent in the background without bothering me, i was using allway sync for a year and it was working great until i updated to the latest version, now its eating up 50% of my ram and every time its syncing its like prime 95, makes all 4 of my cores run 100% and my pc starts lagging
i can't be bothered to reinstall the older version, so please i need a suggestion of a different one, thanks

If you are on Windows, DeltaCopy is good. It is a port of the program rsync for Linux.

this seems to be a file synchronization over a network, i need something that synchronizes between partitions\different hard drives

I apologize, I misunderstood your question. Robocopy will do what you want. You can set up a scheduled task to run whenever you want.

+1 to robocopy...

even though its all command line its easy, and works REALLY good.

I personally made a couple of .bat files to backup X files to Y location, all i have to do is double click n go.

A smarter thing would be to do a scheduled task in conjunction with a bat file.

Btw, looks like there is a robo copy GUI app.... http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/m...spotlight.aspx
