Transfer Schema MASTER and Domain Naming Master roles..

Is there any issues moving these two roles off of a DC running exchange 2003?

Before setting up exchange I needed to do domainprep, but now if the DC is freakin out, by moving the FSMO roles does it mess up this process on the domain?

Shouldn't be a problem doing that...

Last Friday, I moved all the roles off of the Exchange 2003 server, to a new DC server.... Everything seems to be working fine...

I had a few replicating error messages this morning, by rebooting those DC's fixed those errors...

I also had another Exchange2003 server running parallel, not in production yet, where the IS failed after reboot. Event view showed there was no authenticating servers available. Once I removed it from the domain (added to workgroup) and then re-joined the domain, the IS started fine... As it reestablished the link to the correct authenticating server...
