The URL is really long...its a comparison page

Hello, quick question about these two SSD's. They're both the same model (essentially...corsair 60GB Force Series 3), one has 25 mb/s more than the other, but wasn't sure what the difference between the two was besides the speed increment. I.e. one comes with updated firmware, more reliable, etc....

the model names are as follows (The prices are the same too):

F60GB3
F60GB3A

Thanks in advance, should be a quick question to answer, but just wanted to see if there was something more than a 25 mb/s difference.

my guess is that the one that corsair no longer lists on their site has an older firmware, which should be upgradeable, but is otherwise exactly the same.

One is designated by the model number CSSD-F60GB3A-BK retailing for 10-20 USD less than the CSSD-F60GB3-BK variant. Corsair’s “A” designation refers to drives that use 25nm ICs compared to the older 34nm. This translates to lower cost for the consumer but sometimes at a slightly lesser performance. The “A” variant of the Force 3 60GB SSD maxes out at 525 MB/S sequential read compared to the 550 MB/S of the CSSD-F60GB3-BK model.
