Imaging, backup, and transfer

Basically, what can I use to do these two things:
I want to make an installible ISO of a HDD for backup. I think I can figure out how to mount it if you can point me in the direction of a disk imaging software that outputs ISOs, but help would still be appreciated.
Next, I want to transfer my hard drive information (149 GB) onto my new (2TB) hard drive. Is there anything easier than disk imaging?

Please and thank you

Why don't you check out Acronis True Image? They have a free trial version.

Why not? This is why.

Bad reason, I know, but I pay for two things: hardware and operating systems. In my experience, you can find a free version that is just as good, or sometimes better, with the (after a while of thinking like this) negligible loss of GUI quality. Except, I guess Maya, but I got that free with a student ID.
