Slow startup since BSOD. Help please!!

Hi all,
As the title says i had a really unexpected BSOD today and sicne then my pc will hang on the bios logo screen a hell of a lot longer than it used to and general startup is slower. i have an SSD so im used to it being really fast and i have no idea what's wrong. I've tried reverting to a previous BIOS but no luck.

Any other things it could be?
my MoBo is a GA-Z68xp-UD3p

please help anything you guys could sugest would be hugely appreciated!

What triggered the BSOD? A little more details please.

found out the problem. i recently connected an external hard drvie to the pc and for some reason the boot won't get going till the disk is spinning. random bbut solved!

That's a common problem, BIOSs want to know EVERYTHING that's happening. They do specially hate composite USB devices and mass storage.
