Seem to be experiencing issues with slow boot and hangings while in windows 7 on fresh install using wd2500ks and 8 GB 2x4 of Corsair Vengance ( tried using AHCI seemed ultra slow moved over to IDE and seems little better but still slow

any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try updating to the latest bios for added stability. Helped me get a better overclock. And faster boot. Im also using a SSD as cache with a 750 gig HD. Mounting your OS onto an SSD alone is faster. Faster yet raid 0 2 SSDs! Remember that when using a configuration like mine you will need to set the bios to raid mode for it to work. Hope any of this helps...
