BF3... Anybody playing?

Hey. I was thinking of picking up the PC version of BF3 and was wondering if anybody was still playing it. (They have it on sale on origin uk for like 30 bucks.)

I'm on the fence because I don't get paid until like next week... (and I've already ordered the PS3 version). But if people are playing on PC... then what the heck.

so flying is easier than in BF2? That sounds like a great thing, I remember nose diving in choppers all the time cus I couldn't fly them worth a damn.

Pfft! Just what I need: More ass friends...

And yes. I've been gone a RIDICULOUSLY long time, and no, I don't have time to look in the same thread. I.M.O.G. knows why... but it's a big huge secret or something...

Suffice to say (particularly in the past week or so...) I've been insanely busy.

SO busy that now I feel like playing a game just so that I don't go insane.

Grab BF3, don't waste time with the single player (it is crapola). Try to grab the limited edition version as it will come with Back to Karkand map pack (4 maps + new weapons etc) instead of buying it later for $15.

If you have any questions check out my review:

Thanks! And thanks for reminding me about the Limited Edition (didn't know they had that for the PC version.)

You're so much more informative than the guy that just posted a link. (Lucky that OLD Rainless isn't around... )

DONE. Purchased.

They switched up the price at Origin Uk *but* it is on sale at Amazon.com for $39.95.

I just happened to have $6 in gift certificates left there so I got the download version for thirty-three... IN DOLLARS! (Hahahaha! Monopoly money!)

Danny Boy is ready for the showdown!

JESUS! That was the most painful install in the history of man!

First I had to install ALL the updates for Vista 64 Ultimate. Then I had to install service pack 2. THEN i had to install WGA, then Directx 11, (still wouldn't work), then Internet Explorer 9 (STILL wouldn't work), then uninstalled, reinstalled, patched again (4 gigs) and finally THEN it worked.

Total:FIVE HOURS.

Played two games and discovered I need a new mouse.

So you are mad that you had to install updates for your operating system including the latest service pack (that you should have been running in the first place?)

No idea on IE9 as I hardly know anyone who still uses IE instead of Chrome or Firefox.

Are there any good Christmas deals on this game still? I found it for $40 at play-sc.com, but that site looks kinda shaddy.
