Merry xMas fellows overclockers.

Yesterday I cleared my cmos for 10mins as I was getting problems with cold boot.

Before that, to be stable @4.8GHz, I needed 1.412vCore and 1.680 vDimm.

Since I've done this long clear cmos, I need "only" 1.400vCore and 1.650 vDimm.

Is there really a difference between a 10 seconds cmos clearing and a 10 minutes one?:eh?:

Max temp 58°C on the hottest core (56/58/58/58) with a 21°C ambient.

I've ran it @5GHz/1.49vcore for 3/4 weeks and didn't notice any degradation (max temp 68°C IIRC)...

You should totally push it as far as it'll boot into windows :p.

1.49v is a lot though.. 1.4v at 4.8ghz is a solid OC.. I'm jealous.. My i7 930 stands beneath you in awe.. :p

Well, it boots at 54x. But i will try again, as this cmos claering thing is weird.

BTW, a screen shot of the current oc:
