Can Itunes and Music play on a separate drive??

hey guys my parents were wondering if they can have itunes and music play on a separate drive so virus scans go faster. My parents have 80GB of music. We know the music cant get viruses. They have bitlocker for windows 7 Ultimate. they wanted the music on a separate drive 100GB partition. Is this possible to speed up virus scans.

Thanx,

Yeah, you can have the music on a separate drive. I have iTunes on my SSD and my music on a HDD.

Put your music on the drive/partition you want, then change the iTunes Media folder directory by going to Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab

I should point out that there viruses can infect music files. I know of at least one worm that infect audio files.
