does anyone know why my gtx470 would be freaking out with artifacts all over the screen and shutting down. this started happening about two weeks ago
i have to under clock it as far as it will go with evga precision to get it to work and i can even play games with it under clocked but if i reset it to factory settings it starts to freakout again, i have tried changing drivers have tried
275 280 285 295 all fail with in few sec (driver has failed and has recovered)
dont know what to do next cards only about two or three yrs old is it just going bad or what? oh and temps never go above 50c im on water cpu,gpu1,gpu2,NB,
SB,and RAM so i dont think its heat.

Call Evga and they should replace it without a hassle. Sounds like something has borked on the card.

Always keep the stock HS/F so if you need to RMA, you can replace the HS/F back on. it sounds like a Voltage regulator could be going, But it's hard to tell, it could also be the PSU , only real way to test is to realy diagnose it.
