whats highest safe zone for my CPU?

im thinking of pushing my cpu maybe to 4.2ghz 24/7(right now its at 4.0 but it can hit 4.1 no problem)
what are safe temps?

if my core temps hit 50c is that ok? or not safe for 24/7 use?
and socket temps what are safe for those too?

oh and im thinking about try for my RAM to hit 1600mhz is that possible?
or because they are 1333mhz thats the max they can go 24/7?

all system specs in sig

core temps hit 55c or less is ok!!!

try for my RAM to hit 1600mhz is that possible? = You got the ram so try it. Not all will. You want to know if "your" stuff will so you have to try your stuff.

should i up the voltage on the Ram to hit 1600mhz or 1st try without upping voltage then up it to 1.55 (its 1.5)

i tryed upping the Ram to 1600mhz and tryed/ 1.53,1.55, and 1.6 but none of these would boot, should i go higher? should i mess with the timing?
i have really never messed with Ram what do you guys do?

Heck no I would not be trying ram at DDR1600. I thought you knew you had some ram that was DDR1600 but that it was often better to run DDR1333. But according to your siganture you don't have anything BUT DDR1333 Ram. MEMORY > Corsair XMS3 16GB (4x 4GB) PC3-10666 1333MHz DDR3.

There is NOTHING to make me think PC10666 ram and 16gig at that would ever do DDR1600. However it is your ram. Try whatever you wish to do with it.

If you loosen the timings on the ram then you will lose performance which you probably wont gain back from making a higher clockspeed from the ram, as i doubt it will go high enough to compensate for the loose timings that you will probably have to run to get the speed, as for upping the voltage, i would not go much over the XMP profile voltage for the ram for 24/7 use.Good luck
