quick question


sorry if this is a nooby question but when building a computer do i have to install an internal optical drive? can i not just use an external one?

No you don't need to install an internal optical drives. Lately I've been installing OS via a USB key. Much faster and more convenient. Having said that I still have an optical drive on all my desktops just because I have optical drive kicking around from my AMD socket 939 days.
