Crucial Adrenaline 50 Cache ?

Is this the fastest SSD because it has 50 Gb cache and 14 Gb performance on the drive ?

You do realize that that SSD is just a normal one (not very fast actually) and that the performance improvements they're talking about is because they are using it as a cache for the normal HDD?

You could do the same with any other SSD and get the same, or better results.

Here is a different SSD in the same price range that would give you better results:

OCZ Vertex 3 60GB

The SSD linked in first post is actually a 64GB Crucial M4 in disguise...you could probably buy an M4 for $80 and force flash the firmware of the Adrenaline 50GB drive if you really wanted to.

It definitely isn't slow, and unless you are constantly writing and erasing large chunks of data, a Vertex 3 really isn't going to outpace an M4.

So you have a hard drive and an SSD which is mirrored as the system drive to function as primary drive ?

I had an OCZ Agility 3 SSD. It was a plague of problems and a time waster. I RMA refunded it, and bought an M4. If I wanted the chahing I would buy the Crucial Adrenaline.

I am pretty sure the drive is meant to be a SRT cache drive

Looking at specification it's standard 64GB M4 with additional software to perform hdd caching. Most cache series have only added license for caching soft and except that it's standard SSD that just cost more.
I'm not sure about license price and if you can use it with other drive.
