Can I run this RAM at it's rated speed?

My current 4x2GB Dominator (CMD8GX3M4A1333C7) is being replaced due to a bad stick for a new set, (CMP8GX3M4A1600C8) which is similiar but a 1600 set instead of 1333.

My question is with my current rig, can I utilize the 1666MHz or will it default to 1333?

It'll default to 1333, but you should be able to set it to 1600 (and the proper timings/voltages) without any issues. The Thuban IMC is much more polite about such things than Deneb was.

I have a 1090T system with a GA-880GA-UD3H MB and it defaulted to 1333 when I 1st turned it on, I set the multiplier to 8 and I'm running 1600
