Need help with power supply issue

Hello to everyone, I'm new here but glad I found you. I have an auto dialer connected to my computer. Due to an injury to the power supply going to the auto dialer, I cannot use it now. I have another one that is slightly different. What I am trying to find out is can I use the replacement one safely... here is what is written on the old(damaged) one and on the new one:

old: input-120VAC 60Hz 60mA output- 9VDC 350mA, level 3
new: input-120VAC 60Hz 7W output- 9VCD 300mA, class 2

My device is down till I can resolve the power supply problem.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The ratings on the two devices are nearly identical, so in that respect there shouldnt be a problem.

FYI 120V @ 60mA = 7.2W
