I play WoW on a large private server from time to time when I'm bored but I'm done with MMOs until a good true sandbox MMO comes out. I'm sick of all the linear, "endgame" focused, gear grind based WoW clones everyone has been churning out for the last 7 years. I have a really amazing MMO planned out in my head but no developer would dare make it since there's not a lot of people who find the idea of a game with no classes, no player levels and only player-generated content interesting.

Allods online.

Its like free WoW! I always liked WoW, but not its subscription based playing. Allods is free, has better graphics, endgame is more fun than work, and its a very very polished game. Obviously cash shop does tax players, BUT if you do have the patience, it can be negated. Like in my case. But you do have to spend a lot more time.

For most people in the game however, WoW is a CONSIDERABLY cheaper game to play..

I also just downloaded, by request of my friend, Faces of Mankind. I'm already bored with it, but thats because I didn't give it a change to begin with. If I care, I'll return and describe how the game really is..

None... not my bag.

I played the 10 hour trial in early 2005 or something though. Tried one other free one... decided I didnt like the grind.

World of Tanks.

Freemium game. Not pay to win, as all paying does is make it easier to earn in-game credits (you can get higher level tanks faster is pretty much it).

I ended up getting sucked back into WoW because the scroll of resurrection promo that they are running was way too tempting to pass up on.

I've been playing Vanguard a lot lately. Lot more players running around than before.

Gonna be playing everquest again when I get more free time too I think.

I burned out so fast on rift and aion, but I always come back to everquest and vanguard.

WoW for the longest time, but Guild Wars 2 will be my new home of choice because of the style, combat, polish, and general adventurous feel it gives you. I spent most of my time last beta just wondering around. I got bored with WoW after I explored all of the continents, and it seems GW2 should make that a bit more fun with the scaling of level. What can I say? I would rather make my own story lol

vanguard? Wow, that was the last mmo i played from early beta through about 6 months after launch. I thought sony had folded the tents on that one a while ago. The game was so cool, but the pvp was just an afterthought and poorly implemented. The hacks finally made my guild move on.

I picked up Tera Online for $40 bux...covers the first month. I've never been a big MMO guy but I've been looking for a time sink...WoW never appealed to me. It was boring...played for a week then forgot about it. I hopped on Tera and made myself (well...had the wife make me) a sexy human archer and before I knew it the sun light was coming through the window at 6am...feels a bit like WoW but much more involved due to the way the combat system works and how quests have a bit of a story to them. Feels a bit more adult too.

Oh tera's combat felt amazing! I wish I had the attention span and the money to level a character up in that game. End game PvP and raid content look amazing. Alas, the questing just turned me off so much I had to quit I found it worse then WoWs to be honest, but maybe that is because when the quests were boring in WoW I could just auto-pilot it while half awake :P

World of Warcraft, easiest game to play when you are drunk kids! *two thumbs up*

LOTRO has been taking most of my gaming time. The community is great and feels like the closest I can find to a mmo that is not just an endgame gear grind.

Still playing RuneScape since passed 8 years! Its a very unique MMO if you ask me , its basically like Gothic / Skyrim etc. I mean you can literally almost do anything in the game. Your like living a life in the game ( yeah it sounds lifeless ) , you cook your own food , you fish / hunt your own food. Build your own House etc =)

The only problem now in RS are noob bots =(

Apparently there's this dude that has been playing Runescape for over 13 years and says that at 279 million he's dead broke....He invested 60 million into my friends level 9 alone...

Living a life in a game? I already do that in real life, so I don't need to do it in a game :P
