Hi guys!

I just want a good advice from the pros.

I just bought another stick of ram for cheap 'cause I'm planning to try 64bit OS but I bought the same ram with different latency and voltage.

I've been reading a lot lately on how to balance the 2 different rams but I'm afraid to try it for real fearing I might fry something so I just set it on auto. So far it has been working well but I BSOD when I play games.

Any help?

Here's my rig by the way:
Core2Duo E7400 @ 2.80GHz
XFX MI-XG31-CH79
1x2GB Xtreem Dark DDR2 -1066 5-5-5-15 [2.1V-2.2V]
GeForce 9800 GT

and the 2nd hand ram I bought is:
1x2GB Xtreem Dark DDR2 - 1066 6-6-6-18 [1.8V-2.0V]

Thank You in advance!

I wouldn't do that. You're asking for problems. I doubt if would be stable unless you lower the ram frequency to 800 so both sticks would operate off of 1.8v. And I doubt they will play together in dual channel mode either.

hmmm....

ok... i guess i'll get a new pair instead.

thank you very much!
