I had my computer running so that the hsf was blowing air away from the hs and was getting 49*C. Now I turned the fan so it blows air at the heatsink and its 4*C cooler. However, More testing is needed. I will post back if I test more and find otherwise.

It all depends on the Airflow in your case.

Different cases have different scenarios and as such the effects of fan positioning differ.

Maybe a read of my Thread Here will help explain this.

well it was worth a shot ... i get 7*C less with the case on and the fan turned at the heatsink. If the case is off it only makes a 4*C difference but it is still better. Maybe once I install more fans it wont be better for me.

i have mine blowing because i have a 92mm side fan blowing right towards the cpu, and if i had the alpha fan sucking air out, then it wouldnt work that well

I have mine sucking off the HS to an exhaust duct. This lowered my case temperature to ambient from oven hot, which then dropped my CPU temp about 5-10 degrees.

130 cfm 120 mm fan blowing right at it with a 48.5 cfm 80mm blowing in.. tryed ducting it to the 120 mm without the 80mm fan and temps got 3 c higher undocted was the same.. then i ducted the 80mm fan and heatsink to the 120 mm fan and was about 2 mm higher.. so now i have it undocted again and doing 34 c load.. but i guess i cant get better temps without a faster 80mm fan mounted to the heatsink o well 34 c load is watercooling temp to most people and i guess if i really want to OC i can add a pelt.. i hear 34c is low enough to handle a good pelt.. unless u guys can tell me otherwise otherwise. as for right now im happy have the cpu OCed to 1.333 with a crapy 9 stepping.. and plan on a vcore mod soon to push this ****er to its limits.. the funny thing is now that i put the cpu back to its stock speeds it becomes a bit unstable LOL
