SOLVED amd 6970 stutering

hi i recnettly bought a 6970 so i could run all my games at a high spec but the result has been the reverse all my games are now choppy and stuttering reistalled gfx drivers several times and are up to date please can someone shed some light on what is wrong. playing games like skyrim darksiders 2 witcher 2.

What video card did you originally have in there?

First of all I suggest you uninstall ALL the GPU drivers and then use CCleaner to delete the remaining registry entries, then install the latest AMD drivers again.

What are your GPU temperatures like?

found problem cheap psu not giving gfx enough power got a xfx 850 core pro 80+ winging its way to me but thanks for the reply
