If you havent tried it yet give your CPU VDDA a slight boost. It helped me once with an OC on my 965 a way back. I wish my memory was clearer on my settings from back then ...... that was when I started OCing.

here are the changes and bios screenshot, raised vdda and vcore, crashed in 10 mins.

Well CD I amdown in Kingston for the weekend away from my PC ..... Itsbeen a long time since I played with my 965 and am not sure if I culd break past 4.2 myself. Ironically that system is here as I gave it to my girlfriend but the cooling is vastly inadaquit for any kind of serious OCing to refresh my mind. CPU VDDA was the only thing that jogged my mind beyond that I cant really say much else but speculate as you will be doing now as well.

Some things I have found to work and this is more FX Specitic regarding CPU Loadline calibration I have never found it necesary to go to extream as the step just before, ultra high I think helped with stability. Mind you your OC's have passed me by a bit you might have more experience than me. Just a thought ..... mind you that is a nice OC 4.2 with only 1.45 vcore is pretty good.

I have just upped the starting vcore to 1.46v, using llc extreme it is running at 1.488 so we will see soon.
I also adjusted the mem from 1333 to the installed 1600.

Thanks guys, that did it, 4.3!!!!!!!! next, 4.4.

caddi how long did you run prime for at 4.3, I'm just curious. Also could you post those screen shots in individual clips I'm having a hard time reading them. I'd like to compare your settings and results to what my cpu does. Thanks

Hey caddi daddi, I suggest you run LLC "Ultra High", "Extreme" is a bit "extreme" for air cooling. The option is really only useful for those that are running LN2-cooled setups and trying to force constant voltage in, say, wPrime 1024M when at 6 GHz + and 1.8v+ :D

Extreme has the possibility to cause quite a transient overshoot (split-second voltage spike) when loading and offloading the CPU in normal scenarios.

Congrats on hitting 4.3 GHz! :bday:

beepbeep 2, I'll reduce llc to ulta high and retest.

mandrake4565, i ran p95 at 4.3 for 20 mins. now that i have gotten there i will run it for hours .
press ctrl and roll your thumbwheel, this will zoom in and out on the page.

made 4.4, I had to brute force it with voltage.
here is the screenshot.
what is the max voltage for this cpu?
