MSI GTX 660 testing

*so far I was testing the card with a review driver since Nvidia just released 306.23 today, which is meant to include the 660. The driver I was using seemed to have issues in older versions of DirectX ( 9 and below - as well as some shakiness in 10 ), For this reason I am retesting with the version that released today and will be updating this as I go along.*

For the current post I will post some pictures while I get some results re-ran instead of posting up pre-release driver tests.

The unit I have is an OC variant, with Afterburner I am able to get the card to its max for Unigine Heaven (DX11) and 3DMark11 @ a base/boost clock of 1118/1183 (MHz) and a memory clock to 1757MHz - this is over the stock 1033/1098 core and 1502 on mem. During the benchmarks that I was able to run with the pre-release driver I found it was happy chugging along at 1200MHz (a few ticks under1200 up to 1228 depending on the part of the scene)

Moar tests on the way :)

The 570 is getting better scores. I have my 570 at 1002/2005/2250 arlt 1.1v and I have them in sli so I was thinking about buying 660s but now I see results i shouldnt

you would save a lot on your power bills though ;)

Those 660's run at about 100 watts less each than the 570's
Also from what I have been reading MSI have squeezed more performance out of those cards clock for clock than any other manufacturer somehow.

The 660 Ti would be a moderate upgrade over the 570 though - maybe 10 fps more in games, but nothing groundbreaking.
