My config:
processor: amd fx6100
motherboard: msi 880gma e-35
GPU: radeon hd 7970
thermaltake frio
ram: transcend 4gb 1300mhz
640gb hdd
psu: thermal take 1200watt

i changed my 6770 with the 7970 a few days back now i'm planning to get core i7 3770k as my current processor might be bottlenecking my gpu. So as the title suggests what would be a good motherboard for 3770k?

PS: i might overclock the cpu and right now I have no budget but it would be best if someone can recommend me an asus motherboard at low price but not compromising performance.

:welcome: To the Overclockers forums!

I would say the ASRock Extreme 4 z77 pairs well with that CPU, and offers you the best bang for buck being one of the least expensive boards.

Are you planning to just game, media etc?

Then save some more with the 3570K if you don't need hyperthreading etc.

Pole recommends the board we all recommend for a quality good Intel based board. Good stuff!

I was hoping to get an asus motherboard is the p8z77 enough for gaming?

I won't say the ASUS is a bad motherboard, but for gaming and price, you would do better by going with the ASRock on that platform.
If you must go with ASUS, go with the Sabertooth for the 5 year warranty.
