So one of my good friends wanted to sell me his laptop, an acer 7750g-9807

Specs: Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz)
17.3" screen
6GB Memory
640GB HDD 5400rpm
BD Combo Optical
AMD Radeon HD 6650M

Its in pretty good condition, no case scratches and its working just fine.

I just saw on newegg that it retailed for $1099 when it was new but here I am a year and a half later after he has owned it and we agreed on $500 as a workable price but after seeing that the same laptop is on ebay for $600 as a refurb model, I'm starting to feel like $400 would be a better price. What do yall think?

500 is not all that bad of a deal even considering you found one for 600 on ebay still sounds like a sale to me:)~ you could offer him 400 and see what he thinks,,cant hurt.

Half a grand for a quad-core 17.3" Sandy Bridge i7 with 6GB of RAM is not that bad of a deal. It looks really good for me considering the BD drive and the 640GB HDD.

I think $500 is a good deal, if you feel otherwise offer him $400 and see if he accepts it.

$500 is still cheaper than $600 and you know who is getting the money.
