Hey guys,

I got my LGA 775 intel core 2 duo, and i am thinking of giving it a new motherboard, and then buy a cheap HD6950 and run crossfire HD6950.

But i would to keep it small, but its seems like that isnt possible.
Are there any LGA775 boards that even support CFX, or do i have to make an upgrade to LGA 1155 B75 chipset before i get the ability to start doing CFX?

From what I remember the Intel 975X Express Chipset is the only 775 board that will support crossfire. The hard part is finding the board.

P45 can do x8/x8 CFX, and X38/X48 can do x16/x16 CFX. P45 should be the easier to find and cheaper chipset. The best board with these chipsets will have to be purchased used from ebay or forum classifieds.

I noticed you said Core 2 Duo, what CPU do you have? I ask because even my old i5 680 dual core with HT choked GTX580 SLI, and that's a better CPU can a C2D.
