I was looking around for the best price for the GF4 Ti4400 and came across this.

So whats that mean? Where they talking about the ATI cards, or the Geforce cards? Sounds like they may have even been talking about the 3dfx or matrox cards, as 3dfx gains nothing from direct X 8.

They are talking about the GF4 Ti 4400 and I found it at www.ebgames.com under PC Hardware - PNY GF4 Ti4400.

i've heard things about the ti4400 just being a suped-up geforce2, so I guess it could be true, but i doubt it.

Edit:If there is a ti4200 thats what I was thinking of.

Yea the new ones are the GF4 MX420, 440, 460 and in the Ti`s theres a 4200, 4400 and a 4600.

OK, to clear up the confusion here:
NONE of the Geforce4 MX (420, 440, 460) support directx8 in hardware.
ALL of the Geforce4 TI (4200, 4400, 4600 <-- note the extra zero) support directx8 in hardware.
