only brands of ssd's i buy are samsung/ocz and mushkin and all have been great im sure there are other good ones out there tho,i stay away from cheep brands like kingston and over priced ones like intel that actually have slower write speeds then most.
go visit newegg and look for there sales on any of the drives mentioned no reason you cant find a 240-256GB drive for under $200 there.

Any opinions on Crucial? I bought Crucial RAM, quite a few years ago and never had any trouble

Crucial M4 series is solid. Its not the fastest, but they are quite reliable.

Gonna go with a

SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC256B/WW 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Ive got an 830 256GB its a rock solid drive. You wont be disappointed.

Kingston is by no means a cheap brand and while I'm at it they make some of the fastest out there. I just recently purchased 2 240Gb Hyper X 3K's to raid and they are working perfectly.
