Hi all,
I intend to replace the existing mainboard ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX (having 760G chipset) with Asrock 970 Extreme3 Mainboard, which has no integrated graphics. I am using FX-6300 CPU. The 760G chipsets are performace bottleneck for the system.
So I have to buy an entry level graphics card. I have ZERO knowlege about graphic cards, and I am looking for the best under 50$ (40€) graphics card suitable. On Amazon I saw:
  1. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 32€
  2. NVIDIA GeForce GT430 (16x PCI-e, 1GB, DDR3) for 36€
  3. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 40€
Are these graphic cards compatible with Asrock 970 Extreme3 Mainboard (NB: AMD 970 /SB: AMD SB950) ??
If yes, then which one will serve the purpose better, and how much difference is there among their performances??

I don't use the system for gaming/video editing, just numerical work/programming, so for graphics cards my budget is fixed.

I already have AMD FX-6300 CPU + 8GB DDR3 - 1333MHz (Micron) RAM.

Most power hungry: by about 3 times over the least power hungry, but I know that power hunger is not nearly like it would be with a TOP of the line card. The ones you list are in the lower bracket almost of performance cards.
1. NVIDIA GeForce GT430 (16x PCI-e, 1GB, DDR3) for 36€
2. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 40€
3. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 32€

Best performance: by almost twice over the second place card.
1. NVIDIA GeForce GT430 (16x PCI-e, 1GB, DDR3) for 36€
2. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 40€
3. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3) for 32€
