I was just wondering what people do to configure their computers/OS for using a SSD?

this is my routine:
-turn off hibernation.
-ensure trim is on.
-ensure defragg is off.
-set my browser's download location to my storage drive.

Whats yours?

Install w7 (I manually align), install chipset drivers, install gpu drivers, reboot, run WEI (tells pc u have ssd so will shut off defrag, indexing on the ssd only), I shrink pf to 2gb for space savings, shut off hibernation and system restore again for space savings, browser download path to hdd.

Hmm, I didn't know if you did a fresh install you still needed to manually align?

You dont. I do. Occasionally I get that 10324blabla k size if I leave it to auto. I like it to say a nice 1024k offset.
