So I was looking on steam and Saw metro last light for pre order which is awesome I'm excited to play it... then I took a gander at the rating and it left me laughing at one of the reasons its rated M... "Intense Nudity"

also has "use of Alchol" any ways funny wording and miss spellings aside looks like a great game can't wait to see the graphics they achieved this time because Metro 2033 was amazing Other than the lack of optimization but still.

PC Gamer Review 80 out of 100

Intense Nudity is basically what it sounds like, it's likely going to have a lot of sex scenes than, and stuff like that... Use of alcohol would be just like it sounds, which they must list because it's illegal to put off alcohol as something you should drink, it's just advertising and the rules of it. I wouldn't worry to much about it, i mean unless you're young, and mom and dad come into your room without knocking and they judge whats on the screen like my mom does xD

It just made me lol because I haven't seen that before other wise I get the point ;). But I read the rating some where else and it had "Intense Violence" "Nudity" and alcohol spelled correctly just found it funny lol but I may as well drop in some videos of the game as it does look good!

this one has a voice over I thought described the idea of the game well

This is a long one about 20 min of game play no voice over

I have yet to play Metro 2033, so i'll have to get on that first xD i haven't played any of the new cool games as i just finished my gaming/benching rig :/ and my Macbook Pro doesn't play anything except minecraft and the witched 2 on like the lowest settings with high framerate lag xD

Metro is a very different kind of game though and personally I like what they are doing with last light.

Its much slower paced lots of exploring and overall survival with lots and lots of hard decisions to make down to how you get your needed items. Because in this harsh world Bullets are currency but they also keep you alive ;) so if you like that kind of world exploring some occasional fighting scavenging then you'll love metro. Plus the graphics are top notch.

EDIT: One of the biggest things about metro is they don't give you much help on what to do, or big rewards for accomplishing something you see out in the world like if you help out some random person in the depths of metro you don't get a new mission to escort them or text on the screen that states you did good! but the game always keeps track of your play style. I guess there are multiple endings to Metro 2033 depending on how you play. But I like different.

I'm sure you have alot of kids buying and playing games through Steam. It's more of a red flag for parents.Being a kid,I'm sure mom and dad will be taking control of the credit card before little Johnny goes wild...

You know, the parent kid conference :grouphug: until they see the warnings for the game  I'm sure it also covers there *ss,when people try to get a refund claiming they had no idea it had strong sexual overtones.

Yeah I worked in some retail stores when I was younger and you would be shocked what parents would buy there kids. I would see a parent buying a 12-14 year old kids Grand Theft Auto. I would ask the parents if they knew the games rating. I screwed over a lot of kids lol.

but I do get the point I know its a CYA situation. its just an odd way to describe it was my main point... though re reading it makes me seem like I don't get it at all. I should edit that.

I have a download coupon (?) for Metro Last Light that I got when I upgraded my GPU a couple of weeks ago. I'm not familiar with the title/series at all and from the descriptions above it seems to be a FPS (?), a raw world.

An better descriptions would be appreciated. I don't have a lot of time for gaming so don't know if I'd be able to take advantage of a long drawn out saga. What's the skinny?

Its closest description is a Survival Horror with a heavy focus on surviving its very story driven and doesn't treat you like a baby its not really a casual game though it is very hard the best way to show that is by making a note that Military grade ammo is Currency but can also be used in your guns so you have to balance what you use and what you spend.

The game is extremely unique and one of the few games that really shines on the PC now adays. It really isn't for everyone but its such a good an original game.

I have seen this game for free with basically all the Cards. Has anyone played last light yet?

Man, i just actually got around to watching the trailer, and dude... That looks so sweet... Like beyond awesome... So going to play it after i get 2033.

I might have to finally ditch my 5850s to play this game. Was kinda hoping to stretch them out a little more until 7XX and 8XXX series came out and drop prices on 670/80 and 7970s. May just have to bite the bullet though, loved the first one.

yeah... when I read on Nvidia's site that if you want to run it with 3D they recommend a 690... I'm excited to see what they have done.

PC Gamer has their review out and Metro: Last Light scored 80 out of 100 which isn't bad at all!

I read through his review and everything he talks about seems good though I haven't played yet so its hard to say if I really agree with everything he talks about but I'm glad to see it getting a good review!

I think because of how Metro does things so different gave it a lower score but I won't know for sure till I get to play it tonight :D

Here are some Screens of the game so far from tonight if you were interested how it looked on my 690 :D I am running full except SSAA I could turn it on but it seems to slow down a lot in certain areas and I honestly couldn't see the effect adding anything to the graphics so I just turned them off. Maybe I'll try an over clock and compare frames before and after some other time but this game is REALLY pretty...
