I'm not entirely new to overclocking, but I would like to learn.
My English is not super bad but also not entirely good, especially Technical English I am weak.

I need help with overclocking the processor, , I really want to go to extremes.
My maximum overclock was 4:04 Ghz but not managed it to continue.

Asus Sabertooth 990 FX
1055T
psu 620 W
Gpu ati 6870
ram Corsair Vengeance LP CML4GX3M2A1600C9 x2

It is already late and'll be back tomorrow, good night

I have written this story with a translator, if you do not mind

How are you cooling the 1055T?

Stock cooler? Aftermarket cooler? Water or Air?

This will make a big difference to your achievable overclock.

Well, I can get my 1075t up to 4.3ish GHz stable, but with a little bit too much volts at my taste (1.6v).

Get it @4.25GHz/1.55 stable though.

Need a pretty good cooler to reach above 4GHz clocks with an average chip: when the cores reach 52/53°C, CPU gets unstable.

Thnks for the reply guys

@ tungureanu Im from The Netherlands, but its ok with the English language, its more how i I write phrases down, if you know how i mean.

@ Zebodog I have a SCMG-3000 SCYTHE "MUGEN 3 " Heat Pipe CPU Cooler, with

@manu2b The Vcore is set on 1.4375 V (bios) 4.0 Ghz under load with IBT CPUZ raise at 1.6V.

Temps CPUID max 54C

I move back to stock and something is wrong with CPUZ

Look at the multiplier, sometimes its shows 16,5 x

I thought the 1055T locked at 14X

Your vCore is way too high for 3.5GHz.

Start by disabling turbo, cool'n quit and CE1.

next step is finding your max FSB. To do so, you must, playing with the multis keeping the cpu freq, NB, HT and ram as close as possible to stock.

Your board shoul allow 320/330 MHz bus speed.

To give you an idea, mine is set@293FSB/14.5multi/1.55v in BIOS (1.57 load) for 4.26GHz. Not a bad CPU though.

From 3.8GHz and up, you certainly need to take the CPU-NB at 2600MHz or above to stabilize (which imply a CPU-NB voltage increase, 1.25/1.3v).

Edit: oh, je ben uit Holland?

Hi Manu tnx for help

Before i start overclock i disable everything, i did put the Vcore on Auto so it gives me 1.5 V.
Now i did put the Vcore manual at 1.4 V.
Lets start find the Max Fsb Brb.

Haha Jij uit Belgie :p

Nee, ik ben uit Corsica, maar ik heb in Amsterdam en Haarlem gewont/gewerkt twelve jaar geleden, lol.En nu, Brussels!

You'll have more experience with this than me manu2b, have at her
