Are there any good micro ATX boards that will handle overclocking with the AMD FX-6300???

Dammit. It is friggin tough trying to piece together a decent system within a budget.

How do people feel about overclocking the 6300 on an Asrock 970 Extreme4?

I'd step up to the Gigabyte 970A-UD3. That's the cheapest board with enough power delivery bits for some heavy OCing.

If you can, try to find the rev2 or rev4 versions, the rev 3 had issues. If you do end up with the rev 3, don't worry, somebody here (forgot who exactly) has a beta bios that is supposed to fix said issues (CPU throttling).

+1 for the 970A-UD3.

Running 4.4GHz right now and it was a piece of cake.

Or a Rev 1.0/1.1 (That's what mine is, and it still has a BIOS interface instead of UEFI :D )

the gigabyte 970a-ud3 has no rev 4 yet but i second this mobo as i am using this board on my recent build all of 2 weeks old with an amd fx 6300
