Will Asus' M5A7L-M/USB3 micro ATX mobo handle overclocking the FX-4130? I'm trying to put together a budget build for gaming and photo editing. Thanks for the help, guys.

I would not think of that mobo for any FX overclocking. As cheap as you seem to be trying to go you will likely have the board in a small case with few fans and little avenue to get hot air from within the case and little room to mess with the extra cooling for VRMs and Mosfet sinks.

Really not to thrilling to consider for overclocking FX processors.

Le sigh... :-/

If you really are wanting to go on the cheap, you should likely investigate the AMD APUs and good mobos for the APU. Graphics pretty good and the latest APUs are pretty stout overall. It is a really different way of looking at things though with a fairly powerful video built into the APU.

Yeah, I agree. I've been looking really heavily into the A10-6800K, just trying to figure out which motherboard to get. Torn between:

I intend on overclocking it, from what I have seen you can get some real decent results from that chip when you push it. I know I wont be playing the latest stuff on ultra, but at least good results on medium. I'll definitely get some real good high speed ram as well, probably 8gb. Question, would it be better to get two 4gb modules, or four 2gb modules? Doing two 4GBs gives me room to add 8 more down the road, but im wondering if i can see better performance when splitting between 4 cards?
