HELP new mobo no video :(

just got the asus sabertooth. Hooked everything up and everything powers on but there is no video. Already tried 2 different gpus/. Light on SDRAM is red
 
Reseat the RAM, double check the power connections (24-pin, 8-pin and PCIe).
 
Question though, if a cpu is somehow dead, should the system still power up and should the cpu still get hot?

Normally in most cases with a dead CPU the system will still power up, but the CPU will not warm up at all. At least in my experiences with dead CPU's anyway.

This could be motherboard, memory, video card, CPU, or power supply. Might be as easy as an incorrect bios setting though.

There seem to be many problems with this build.

Post all your parts and issues and we can see if we can help you.


Multiple threads do not help you. It will only confuse the issues.
