Need monitor suggestions

Hello, all... Can someone give me advice on a good monitor? Want something for gaming and blu ray movies, 27" ............ is 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 good enough for gaming? Should I look for higher resolution? 120hz? Would like a 27" that handles gaming/blu ray nicely....................... My new build: CM Storm Trooper full case, Core i7 4770K, CoolerMaster T4 HyperCool cpu cooler, Asus Maximus Hero VI (Z87) mobo, 8GB G.Skill Trident X memory, Asus Radeon 7950 DDR5 3GB, Corsair HX850 psu, Samsung Evo 250GB SSD, Seagate 2TB 7200 rpm HD, LG Blu ray writer/reader, Win 7 64 bit ......... Recommendations on monitor appreciated.
