Hi all, I would like to know if my PSU will be able to hold up a r280X 3GB Video Card.
At the moment I'm running a GTX-460 1GB + FX-8350 with no issues.
Will this PSU be able to run my system with no problem? Should I upgrade my PSU? Which one should I buy?
yes you should be fine. my big concern would be if you add too many fans, hdd's or ssd's then it may have a hard time booting but you SHOULD be able too. but its defiantly not ideal. id get a new psu asap after getting the card
I'm quite happy with my FX-550W I mean haven't had any issue with my current system spec. No a single fail boot or anything related to power supply issues.
Maybe higher GX series are worse.
however, I don't live in USA so I'm only allowed to buy these things in local computer stores.
Said that, the seasonic brand doesn't seem to exists here in my country.
This is a bit expensive here but I think its the best available:
Cm silent prep series is good, that'll work fine.
The old gx line is fairly junk. Not logisys insta-boom level, but not good.
There is a refresh coming that should be pretty good. If your unit is older than a couple months, it's the old one.
Yes its the old one, its been running for more than a year I think.
Lately I have noticed that I'm having some random static noise, just random and not loudy. Annoying anyway... I don't know what could be the source of this issue. Could it be actually, the psu itself? it has a 12+v supporting 44A
I'm able to buy either the Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 720W that I have already pointed to you. Or the other two available in my country, are these:
