Has anyone had any experience with overclocking the 1230Lv3?
I'm wondering if it can achieve the same frequency at the same voltages as the 1265Lv3. Don't really need the integrated graphics of the 1265.

I own one of the E3's, but not that to be specific.

If I am not mistaken, these are server CPU's. Why are you looking to OC them?

With these CPU's, you must get a board that will support that specific CPU - as with these, it is not "good enough" just to fit in the socket.

Most of the boards that will accept them, are server boards, and most do not OC on standard BIOS.

Its a crapshoot for the clockspeeds... no clue on voltage though... as every CPU varies with what it needs.

+1 to overclocking the CPU and how...

The only difference that I see is lower TDP for 1265Lv3 but hard to say if it's really changing anything while overclocking. In theory 1265Lv3 should be better but because of limited bclk both will probably make the same max clock.
