Hello to all.I am looking forward to buy a pc for 720p gaming in ultra settings.I don't have money to buy a rig enough for 1080p and 720p is enough for me.I already have a good monitor so please suggest other parts. Please remember that I wanna buy a pc that's capable to max out any modern games in 30-60 fps but in 1366*768 monitor. My budget will be less than 750 dollars.

MSI 970A-G46 AMD 9 Series Motherboard $60 - 80
AMD FX-6100 OEM Processor - Six Core, 3.30GHz (3.90GHz Max Turbo) $100
EVGA 760 GTX DDR5 2GB ACX SUPERCLOCKED $250
CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR3 8GB 2x 1600Mhz $80
WD Black 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive - 3.5", SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB Buffer $100
Kingston SH103S3/120G HyperX 120GB Solid State Drive $100 (FOR YOUR OS)
and then drop it about 40 to 50 bucks on a basic mid tower and your set i can recommend other configuration for you if you prefere certain manufactures

That's 4+1 phase. Recommendations for FX series CPUs are 1 core per power phase. A six core needs a 6 phase power section. Not saying it won't run on less, but if you want long term stability and to supply the cpu with the juice it needs reliably these are the standards we have long agreed to on this forum.

A gtx 750 Ti would probably handle that rig just fine... Corsair cx 430. Either the amd option with an fx 6300 (not 6100) and decent board, or grab an i3/i5 rig if the i5 fits in the budget. I feel for a lower res the i5 will give better frames than the 6300. One of the cheap cooler master cases. Standard 1tb hdd. 4-8gb of RAM. Should fit into that budget.

GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P $89

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz $119

SAPPHIRE 100363L Radeon R9 280X 3GB $299 *incl 3 free games
OR
MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G Radeon R9 270X 2GB $219 *incl 2 free games

CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W $69

WD BLACK SERIES WD1003FZEX 1TB $85

ASUS 24X DVD Burner $19

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 $79

Corsair Carbide Series 200R $59

$818 w/R9 280X

$738 w/R9 270X

(prices from Newegg.com as of today)

The 270X will be sufficient for gaming at 720P with pretty much any current title. If you want enough muscle to really push 1080P hard in the near future, get the 280X.

Well,I am interested in Amd rather than nvidia because amd is cheap in here. But if I buy amd r9 280x,that's enough for 1080p ultra gaming, right? So can I run everything in ultra if I buy a 1080p monitor?

Nope 1080 Ultra gaming, you need at least a 290/290x or GTX780/780Ti.

For what, 60FPS minimum?!!

Once can use a R9 280x or a GTX 770 at 1080p and run 99% of games at Ultra at acceptable FPS...

290/290x 780/780ti are overkill for 1080p... Unless you have these unusually high standards and absolutely require nothing under 60 FPS.

If you play games like Crysis 3, FC3, Metro, and certainly a few more titles about to be released, a safe bet is to go 290, even@1080p.

^Agreed.
I still feel my GTX 580 (about 90-95% the power of a 760) is good for 1080P gaming and it's a dinosaur.

The GTX 580 series is only 3 years old it's not a dinosaur yet. My GTX 570 still gets the job done well with crysis 3 and BF4.

FC3 is comically bad IMO, so that's a write off. As for the rest of those games, they are an exception to the rule, not a rule themselves. Crysis has been terrible since Crysis 2, Metro has bad pacing... most of these "eye candy" games are really bad. Let's face it. FC3 doesn't even look good and it still runs terribly. Looks worse than Crysis from 2007 IMO.

I say, buy a card that'll run most games very well at 1080P, and that's the 280X. There are 5 or so exceptions to the rule. Avoid those 5 exceptions and choose from the thousands of other games available on Steam and you'll be fine. JM2C.

I agree. 280X will do all that for him. Will that fit into his original stated less than $750 budget? 280X is kinda pricey for that budget.
