im looking the build a new rig for C4D rendering what is the best bang for the buck i'm thinking 4CPU system amd Opteron 6300 series
i run linux as my main os i have r9 295x as my starting point

What is a 4P 3000 series?
What is your budget?
Can this application use the GPU to render? CUDA(Nvidia)?
What parts do you need? Anything carrying over?

I would use CUDA and iray for Cinema 4D rendering.
It lets you render with the CPU and GPU simultaneously.

That said, I would grab a 4930K and a Titan and be done.
