...but how well would denatured alcohol do in a cooling loop- disregarding the fact that no warranties would cover such a thing and it would prolly disintegrate quite a bit of the loop? :screwy:
 
Not better enough to warrant using it over water.

I also see it being bad for tubing as well. The alcohol may cause leeching, or make it brittle. It's just a bad idea.
 
And highly toxic. Denatured alcohol is typically " denatured" with methyl alcohol. Methyl is very toxic to the human body and easily absorbed through the skin and by inhalation.
Once inside, the body breaks it down into formaldehyde and less than a half ounce of this is lethal.

Yep, haven't even gotten to the o-rings or the acrylic res yet, not to mention the lack of support for your pump (which uses the fluid's viscosity and surface drag to center the spherical rotor).
You don't even get to enjoy much flame when it leaks and catches fire until components start melting away (downright depressing).
