I just got a new cad program. IT's AutoDesk AutoCAD 2002. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good site on this, or a good book on it. I really wanna get to know this program for my case designs but it seems a little overwhelming, it seems to be a fairly powerful program, lots of options.

I'm sure there's good docs someplace on the net, but let me tell you this:
AutoCad is the real deal. This is like the Photoshop of Computer Aided Design. Most all serious design shops use it, so it supports just about every single feature they'd need. Thats why it seems overwhelming - this isn't MS Paint.

Good choice! I've been using CAD programs for the last 16 years & think that Autocad is one of the best ones out there for general use.
I know that there is a set of online tutorials, but I can't remember what the URL is. I did go through them very quickly and found that they weren't much better than the examples/tutorials printed in your manual.
If I had to make a recomendation I'd say to work through those examples & then just draw, draw, draw... Books & classes will help you pickup things you overlook, but I've found that nothing beats just doing it.

Thanks guys. I've been playing with it all night, I just couldn't get to sleep. Had to keep designing. I knew I hit the jackpot just after firing it op and looking at the menu bar. Definetly no MS paint. This is one program i'll call a KEEPER.
