what are your mulitplier and fsb? Someone said before that on the board they used(not sure what one) once they moved much over 150 fsb times went up.

Ok, first off, you should try running at 133. That's the "first"
stage of overclocking that kind of chip.

Next, assuming your processor is multiplier unlocked, is to drop
the Multipler to 10X or 9X, and raise the FSB up bit by bit and
see what's what.

Keep in mind that the higher you go past the 33mhz PCI, the
more of a chance you have of a PCI card limiting your OC
by locking your system up for you. And keep in mind that the
higher you go, the better chance you have a losing your data
on your hard drive because it lost it's mind with such a fast buss
speed.

assumming u had some PC133 on it. the first stage of o/c the old T-bird is:

to set the FSB to 133MHz, and lower the multiplier. start out first to try to get close to the original clock speed, like 9x133=1200, then u can up the FSB or multiplier to see if it can go any higher.

personally, i would up the multiplier first. if it runs fine, try to up the FSB & lower the multiplier to match that speed. so, this way, i can be sure it's not the CPU who limiting the speed.

good luck!!

Seti loves the FSB.

I would drop the multiplier a notch or two. Then crank up the FSB as high as stable. When you get a stable high FSB, then creep back up on the multiplier, one step at a time. Check for a stable system, before going onto the next step.

Your WU's will love you for it.
