Hello !

I`m asking here for a method to set the PCi Latency in the iWiLL XP333-R !

I urgently need a way so that i can use my beloved Hauppauge WinTV DVB-s hardware. (it`s a PCi Card for watching digital Television)

I heard about PCI Timer 2.0 Tool,but the only thing i check on this tool is : "Be a BIOS Specialist,or die !!"

Someone have an other idea about fixing that problem ?
Even SiSoft Sandra reports a too high latency at my PCi Bus.

Thank you all for your answering in advance !

Ask and ye shall recieve. Go to www.overclockers.com and sellect Utilities on the left hand side of the screen and you will find two latency programs, one for pci and one for agp. I have even used it on the mobo latency. I know the author to be a good sort and I am sure he would be of some assistance. File was last updated 2/20/2002. Author [email protected]. This allows you to set each individual latency on each item. Very good program. Setup a dos execute in windows then through it in a batch file, call it from windows (win.ini) at startup and it will load auto each and every time you start windows. Background so to speak.

@Silver

Thank you a lot for answering !

I tested the Pci Timer 2.0 now (With the Ethernet Card,wich also got too high PCi Latency)and i can change values under win98se and Dos Shell but NOT with Windows XP !

Any clue how to "call" it in the XP "win.ini" ? Just making a .bat file calling pcitimer.exe -parameters ? Does it work under winXP this way ?
