Startup Problem

So I got this new rig, transferred my harddrive from my old rig to the new one and my comp won't go further than device recognition. It locks up at that point and I can't get into my bios or anything. System:

Athlon 1800+
Epox 8K3A
Thermalright AX7 w/ Delta 80mm 80 CFM
256 KingMax PC2700
30 Gig Quantum 7200 RPM
Asus Geforce 3 Pure
SB Live!
Windows 2000 SP1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your best bet would be to format your harddrive and reinstall your OS. If you insist on trying not to reinstall, see if you can boot into safe mode,(hit the f8 key while booting) and go to device manager, and delete just about everything. But a clean install is your best bet.

Sorry to have to break the news, but your CPU is dead. The drives all spin up, fans spin, but no beeps or BIOS screen or anything, right? That's the perfect sign of a bad CPU. Return it if you still can for a new one!
