Counterstike problem

Hi all,

I don't usually post here, because I am not much of a gamer...

But I did run into a friend tonight who has this problem...

He has a Gateway with a P4-1.6
I think a Radeon 7000 (aka Radeon VE)
256MB RAM
Windows ME

He plays counter strike, and is getting some weird problems that he attibutes to the vid card drivers...suddenly slow frame rates, etc...

Any ideas? Is there a known problem?

TIA
flounder43

I really would like people's input on this one...

Other than the ATi fix there isn't a known issue with Radeon VE drivers.

If CS was working all right at one point, he probably has that fix.

Try a re-install maybe? Of the game and drivers. Also did he play with settings? Try switching to DirectX or OpenGl and see whats happening.

Just throwing out some ideas.
