How do I find out my fps in Quake III?

This would probaly be better answered in the game section. In MOHAA you have to go into the consule and type fps1 so I assume its something like that.

You'll need a demo to play, you may need to download one. Then type "/timedemo 1" then "/demo demoname.dm3" I believe it's still .dm3 extension. That's the true FPS, typing "/cg_drawFPS" will just give you the FPS for the direction you're looking in and so on, so not at all acurate. Running a timedemo will give you your true FPS. Hope this helps you, if you need more clarity on something, let me know either by replying here or PM'ing me. :)

-EDIT- I think it may be extension .dm48 now. Haven't ran a bench in Q3 for a while :p
