Car Alarm idea for mod/peace of mind

For those who would be paranoid about having a computer they have put mucho time in on and who worry/deal with people who are curious about your rig. An alarm system. I'd imagine that you could rig a car alarm setup to a comp. You would be able to detect if the side was open and if it was turned on or you could use a remote keyless approach if you could do it right. If it was opened and or turned on without the key, it would give a car alarm. Giving you instant notification if it was used without your permission.

They have personal security devices that are about the size of a mini tape recorder that let off a high pitch and very annoying sound when you pull a pin out of it. It's something of an alternative to mace. Loud noise makes people run. Anyways, it would be pretty easy to incorporate into a system and likely wouldn't cost much. The problem there comes in making the alarm not go off when you don't want it to.
