Capturing screen

Can anyone tell me how to capture what I see on the screen at any given moment such as my 3dmark results screenshot or sandra benchmark? I am trying to learn how to make my own Avatars.

Edit: Sorry forgot to say I am running Xp pro

Doesnt the Print Screen button work? Alt+PrintScreen for the top most window only & PrintScreen for the whole desktop then paste into your favorite photo editor.

I believe its CTRL\PrintSCRN for the whole desktop.

Once you've copied it to the clipboard with alt + prnt scrn or just print screen, paste it into MSpaint or get Irfanview(free at Cnet) You can then crop and resize the image and convert it into different formats.
